Esta mentalidade parece criar, consequentemente, um mundo onde se liga o desempenho escolar dos alunos, ao seu valor enquanto pessoas, não havendo uma distinção concreta entre estes dois conceitos. Devemos participar nas soluções em vez de focar apenas nos problemas, assim como dar-lhes um papel de participação nestas soluções e não assumir sempre que sabemos qual é a melhor escolha para eles. Por último, e talvez o mais crucial, olhar para eles como pessoas em vez de alunos, humanizando o sistema de ensino enquanto sociedade para que haja mudanças reais e globais na forma de pensar e agir.
